If we’re doing anything during this pandemic, it’s mostly staying responsible enough to shower daily, put pants on, and not fall off the wagon by eating like a fool. So, when your husband or wife ask for Nachos for dinner, your gut says “OH yes! All of the chips!” But your brain said “are you serious, you don’t need that?!”
Now, we are not saying having a “fun” meal isn’t warranted every now and again. However, remember to weigh your options, think of the potential setbacks and then decide “Is this really worth it to me right now?”
It’s important to recognize how altering the portions of some foods can make it more calorically efficient without having to sacrifice flavor or satisfaction. Think of what component of the meal you’re really looking forward to and work around that. If you are craving chips, but don’t want to make tortilla chips the base of the meal. Try cauliflower. If you’re not familiar, cauliflower rice is a good base to use for a lot of meals because it takes on the flavor of the specific seasonings you’re using. And because it’s not a high-calorie food, you can eat a decent amount of it without feeling guilty.
Once the base of the meal is figured out, the rest is easy.
Below are the steps as well as a full ingredients list. Feel free to get more creative though!

Satisfying cravings without eating too many calories can be a challenge. But with a well thought out plan that makes sense, you can make it happen. Give this a try!
